‘GET DOWN AND GET UP’
Saint Augustine once said: ‘Pray as though everything depends on God. Work as though everything depends on you.’
Or – ‘get down and pray like it all depends on God and get up and go like it all depends on you!
Mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.
So this fortitude is the armour, the outer strength to get you through. It’s the part you play, it’s the mental and emotional strength, 'the battle between your ears.' Our minds are our weakest link sometimes, but they can also be our strongest weapon.
The ability to do something that frightens one; bravery.
Strength in the face of pain or grief.
So how do we have COURAGE in the face of fear, pain and grief. Grief is normally associated with loss and defeat. We can either face it or run away and hide. COURAGE IS FACING ‘IT’ (whilst being scared!) HEAD ON – but this is easier said than done...
When you make a film you never have enough money or time. That goes for low budget films and even those big $250 million dollar blockbusters; the directors of those juggernauts say the same thing.
In life it's no different, we never seem to have enough of time or money and even when we get more of it it seems like we suddenly still have less of it.
